I just returned from Hollywood and Beverly Hills.. Epic Spaces delivered a fun interactive room with a barrage of digital projection to a new and excited family..the "Victor" residence.
The Victor residence will be getting two new rooms for there three
children. The overall idea in the twin boys rooms is "Where the Land
meets the Sea"..these lucky 12 year olds will be receiving a complete
makeover where there beds will be up in the air separated as much as
possible, yet connected with large cargo play net. Fastened to the
walls, they will be able to lounge within the netting with many friends
and be able to climb out onto a bridge that allows them to cross a
river under the netting. (The bridge can be set on its side for more
seating, or turned upside down for a rocking chair, for two!) The
river appears to flow out of the wall and run through the room by the
means of a mural. The river will be filled with realistic stone pillows
made in France, and will again allow for numerous friends to relax, get
some homework done and just hang out in style. The desks will be under
the beds with plenty of spot lighting throughout the room. Once we
leave the river and step down and into the "sea", the entire mood
changes to life out at sea. A 10 ft long squid replica will hang from
the beds, ceilings and walls(made from Todd's custom sewing workshop),
huge shark jaws, anemone light boxes, 17th century pictures of ships
being dragged down to the sea floor from mythological sea creatures and
a large digital video projector slide show. The show will, when running...
will take the boys to places they have been to over the years and
places they want to see in and around this amazing world of ours,
engulfing the children in an environment of positive and uplifting
visuals to grow with and change for the better all year long.
Here are a few sketches, presented to the family over the weekend that
we all loved and will see brought to life, possibly in another show
coming up?!
(sketches of the boys room)
Here we go again..Now comes the girl room in the theme of high fashion, Pussy Cat Dolls and dance studio meets study lounge.
More to come, when it's the ladies turn to be entertained and comforted.

Hey Todd, do I understand correctly that these makeovers will be on tv? If so, what channel, what show and when? I'd love to see you on TV again if possible.

I had too much fun with Design Star, and some of these new rooms I have come up with, need to be shown to the masses...way too funny and really interactive for just the kids to share with their friends.
Various people in the business of design and television agree and are combining forces to have another show portray these wild rooms on a screen near you!
Lot's of work, that is fun, to bring these ideas back to you guys on TV.
So I will leave it up to the powers that be, that these and other Epic Spaces will blast off the screen soon, everyone here will be the first to know!
Todd
Thanks for tuning in!
When I finish the rooms I'll post the pictures asap. No one will have rooms like this!
