Tsunami of Soy?

I was recently flown to Chicago for eight hours to...well..um...Surf.  It was rainy, flights were delayed, yet the waves were pumping!  In order to help save the world the United States Soy Bean Farmers needed a poster boy to help promote the use and massive consumption of the fun little, tasty beans.  You may have noticed already that I was seriously getting barreled, very happy about it and now Chicago is on the map as a surf destination.  Why Chicago?  Well that is where Thinkalter.com resides and created this monster wave in the old brick sausage factory.  I ran in and out of the shower over ten times and yes...I thought we nailed the shot.

So the next time your thinking about buying some refried beans...dont.  Help save the planet bra, get some tsunami soy beans for snacky time. I'm so into this green movement that I am literally coughing up chunks of soy just to spread the word "Go Green, Go Big, Save the World and Surf Soy!"

Murphy's Yard.

With massive views of the city, the Murphy's needed a rear yard to soak it in.   Two shades of weathered bronze flagstone, extended custom redwood deck with "amphitheater" seating towards downtown, a fire pit next to a copper waterfall should do the trick.  A two story spiral staircase from upper deck takes one down the the arching path leading to the new Bocce ball court. The hanging redwood love seat pivots towards view of the city as well.

Diving Pelican

When I walk the beaches I always look for a very special piece of driftwood that reminds me of something or just looks really cool.  In this case I found a piece from the Russian river outlet that looked like a pelicans head.  What I have found out in the last two art projects is that when they are protruding out from the wall , it breaks the two dimensional plain and really makes a piece pop.  My original design was for the diving pelican to have b attle axes for wings, then that quickly faded to constructing a much more simple work of art.  I always tend to push the boundaries and create something very surreal and well....way out there. Using all of the paints I used in my home, I designed the pelican as if it were diving full speed into the ocean, yet appeared to be inside of a shell.
Yes..that used to be my basketball court..I built that wall, handmade the 15' tall velvet curtains, finished the art piece and painted the new nursery in five days.  It was nice to get out of the house today...guess what I did?
