For "Gary Graggs" new landscape show "Superscapes" airing on HGTV this spring we dug a huge half pipe into the bedrock and attached it to a three story tree house. Sound cool? Well there is also a zip line that spans the entire yard(over 200 feet), a trampoline I dug flush into the ground and a huge cable swing from a monster oak tree that swings you out and up at least thirty feet above the ground. Stay tuned for his show coming soon. Why the hell was I there? Well Gary originally wanted to call his show "Landscape Full Throttle" yet I abused that term on my show "Design Star", and the half pipe..well he thought he was going to be the first to build a sweet pipe for HGTV. Then he found out I built one in the first episode inside the penthouse sweet in Las Vegas where we lived. It just made sense for me to come over and help everyone out and build the biggest half pipe any one has ever seen in their backyard. It is so big we had to dig twelve feet in the ground, so it would meet code requirements for the town of Lafayette, Ca. After spending five days in my house straight getting ready for the new shred master kid, we skated all day today and celebrated the pipe, and everyones effort who came out to make this space possible. James Wright the architect master minded the whole layout, and offered up his home to make it happen, you have to see what he is doing next.
Any how here's me skating and wrapping up filming for the season.
Gary Gragg took these photos..doesn't he suck? You cant even see my board on one of them..maybe his show is better? Stay tuned ...
